I recently mentioned how I'm experimenting with a new podcast promotion strategy on my IG Stories and I figured it would be helpful if I laid it all out on a post too, so here goes :)
My typical podcast strategy for about the past year included 5 posts to IG/FB.
I would reshare the announcement graphic to my company Linkedin page, and all five graphics to the podcast showcase page on LinkedIn. All same captions on all platforms.
I had also in the past six-ish months started repurposing the podcast content for a LinkedIn newsletter on my personal page.
I had to stop that strategy back in the fall, as I was just too busy to keep up with creating all those graphics, though I did keep up with the announcement graphic and LinkedIn article.
I had already been thinking that I needed to do promotion differently, when I stumbled upon Sarah's strategy the would really help promote the podcast on Instagram and decided to try that out.
And then I thought, well we need to go further on this, so buckle up.
I will be testing out how these posts work out for me in terms of promoting the podcast for the next 3-6 months, using AI to create some of the assets for me to repurpose my podcast episodes.

This is a place I would like to get more active on in 2025, but my focus may have to wait for 2026, as I'm still building out and catching up with the blog posts on the podcast website.
So I feel like for now the lowest hanging fruit would be to create a community post on YouTube, using AI to create a YouTube tailored caption, and linking the podcast's YouTube link to that post for easy listening.
(The podcast currently gets auto-uploaded to YouTube via the RSS feed.)
So that's my current strategy that thankfully doesn't force to me create as many assets and I get to maximize the use out of some of the AI technology I have.
While I used to be a raving fan of Castmagic, I now can't recommend it to others for it's poor performance in repurposing content.
I did purchase a lifetime deal with them, and keep uploading my podcast there every week to create the transcript, and once the transcript is generated, I upload it to Claude and use prompts to build out all the promotional assets I need based on the transcript.
